This year for me is about world takeover. And I don’t mean in an actual takeover sort of way, but just about accomplishing goals, trying new things, and living life to the fullest.
My Marine the man I love a scary amount more than I can comprehend or clearly describe on paper is deployed. That doesn’t meant the world stopped turning… It does mean I spend a few days/ months…. playing this game:
Yes it would be AWESOME if the world revolved around me, and I always got my way, but then again – that’s way too much responsibility. I think it’s better that God deals with that headache.
So as it stands, I go back to personal goals for the year (that I have done and ones I’d like to do, and ones maybe that can be suggested if not for this years itinerary soon… because a few things I’ve had to turn down, because I couldn’t imagine doing them without my Marine, it just wouldn’t be fair)
Spartan – check. One in Jan. and one planned for November - http://www.spartanrace.com/norcal-obstacle-racing-spartan-beast-2012.html When you register use this coupon code and get 15% off: EXTOLE15
Marathon check – Rock and Roll in San Diego!
Tough Mudder ( 2 in 2 Days) with my Sunflower and FRS Healthy Performance. Score!
Next up – Ultra Marathon (oh yes the whispers have become reality) - http://www.coastaltrailruns.com/cin_smmr_cinderella.html I mean.. I didn’t plan nor train for the marathon, and did, “alright” so a month from mediocre training to an ultra with the bestie – should be just about perfect training
Later in the year (other than more Spartans, Tough Mudders, Marathon)… What should we(I get to say we because my Marine will be home in less than 3 months) go for?
White water rafting, sky diving, hot air ballooning.. get a dog again, backpacking… Hmm what else should meet this years priority list?
I want to go raw and to not drive for longer lengths of time.. Maybe those should somehow be incorporated in this 30 days til the ultra-marathon?
Dear readers, I would love some input for world takeover!!!!

real good stuff! good luck in the ultra! i started ticking off goals in 2010, it feels…like i am alive again.
